1White Onion (sliced)
1packLipton's Dry Onion Soup Mix
1packAu Jus Mix
2cupsLow-Sodium Beef Broth
4Hoagie Rolls
1packSliced Provolone Cheese
2-3lbsbeef chuck roast
Instructions
Sear the chuck roast in a hot pan for 3-4 minutes on each side & transfer to the Crockpot
Add sliced onions and 1/3 cup of the beef broth to the same pan the meat was in. Scrape up the little brown bits left from the meat & transfer to the Crockpot
Add the au jus and the onion soup packets to the Crockpot
Pour enough beef broth to cover the meat
Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours (or on high for 3-4 hours), or until the beef can be shredded
Butter the inside of the hoagie roll & toast under the broiler for 2 min
Add beef into the buns and top with cheese. Put the sandwiches under the broiler for another 2 minutes on high (or until the cheese starts to bubble)
Serve with the leftover juice in the Crockpot for dipping!
